Opal Cluck

Opal Cluck, 89, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at the Ackerly Cemetery in Ackerly, Texas, with Derrick Looney officiating.

She was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Morgan, Texas, and married Norman William Cluck on Aug. 22, 1942, in Old Glory, Texas. He preceded her in death March 11, 1997.

Opal was a longtime resident of Ackerly and was a farmer's wife. She enjoyed crafts, especially making personalized cards and never missed anyone's anniversary or birthday.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ackerly.

Survivors include one son, Benny Cluck and wife Lynn of Big Spring; three grandchildren, Kara Shawver and husband Joey of Jacksboro, Jon Cluck and wife Samantha of Big Spring and Joel Cluck of Breckenridge; and six great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
