Opal D. Anglin, 92, of Odessa died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, in Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Walter McCall officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the Rosewood Chapel.
She was born to Sally Ann Robbins Huff and William Oliver Huff on Feb. 24, 1920, in Stamford, Texas, and married George B. Anglin on July 3, 1935, in Stamford. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1992.
Opal was raised in Stamford, where her family raised cotton. She and her husband lived in Big Spring for 10 years before moving to Odessa. She worked for Walgreen's and in 1963 became an insurance agent.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Opal Robertson and husband W.R. of Odessa and Rose Ann Bokelman and husband William H. of Big Spring; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
The family suggests memorials be made to Susan B. Komen for the Cure (breast cancer awareness), P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265-0309.
