Pablo "Paul" Silva, 71, of Big Spring died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Odyssey Hospice in Lubbock. Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Jan. 15, 1942, in Lubbock to Librada and Vicente Silva. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He married Andrea Perez on Aug. 18, 1962, in Big Spring.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Paul worked in law enforcement for 35 years with the Big Spring Police Department, Howard County Sheriff's Department and Cornell Corrections.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea of Big Spring; three sons, Jesse Paul Silva and wife Pam, Louis Silva and wife Kathy and Michael Silva, all of Big Spring; one brother, Joe Silva of Lubbock; one sister, Maria Camarillo of Garland; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
