Pam Yanez, 56, of Big Spring died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at Baylor Medical Center in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Chaplain Rick Foster officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Big Spring to Emma and Cecil Milam. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She married Adam “Popcorn” Yanez on April 12, 1986, in Big Spring. She graduated from Howard College with a nursing degree. She was a registered psychiatric nurse, working at the Big Spring State Hospital for more than 20 years, retiring in 2009.

She is survived by three daughters, Alesha Yanez of Big Spring, Desiree Yanez of Dallas and Nicole Yanez Smith of Big Spring; two granddaughters, Kiana Ramsey and Mia Smith, both of Big Spring; her dog and companion, Alexis; and her two best friends, Mary Watkins and Bea DeLeon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam “Popcorn” Yanez on May 14, 2011.
