Pat McPhaul, 71, of Colorado City died Monday, June 24, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.

He was born July 25, 1941, in Socorro, N.M., and married Shirley Ann Thurman on May 2, 1959, in Acuna, N.M. Pat was involved in farming and the oil and gas industry. He retired as a land and ranch appraiser.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Colorado City.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley McPhaul of Colorado City; two sons, Rick McPhaul and wife Tracey of Big Lake and Randy McPhaul of Sheffield; one daughter, Julie Rogers and husband Ronnie of Littlefield; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, John and Raye McGregor.
