Patricia 'Pat' Jimenez

Patricia 'Pat' Jimenez, 69, of Big Spring, died Friday May 16, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial following at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born in Colorado City to Virgie and Frank Puga March 17, 1945. She was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a housewife and loved gardening. Most of all, she loved being with her family and loved life itself.

She is survived by her husband, J.R. Jimenez of Big Spring; one daughter, Debbie Fierro and husband Greg of San Antonio; two sons, Rudy Jimenez and wife Brenda of Willow Park, Texas and Ralph Jimenez of Big Spring; three sisters, Betty Sanchez and husband Salvador of Big Spring, Mary Urquibez and husband Frank of Fort Worth and Linda Knight of El Paso; five brothers, Charlie Puga and wife Socorro of Odessa, Johnny Puga of Big Spring, Freddy Puga of Big Spring, Ricky Puga of Fort Worth and Jose Puga of El Paso; one sister-in-law, Elodia Puga of Odessa; eight grandchildren, Bryan Porras and wife Angela, Gabrielle Porras, Joseph Jimenez, Matthew Jimenez, Marcus Jimenez, Miranda Medley and husband Zach, Dustin Wortham and wife Tiffany, and Keith Wortham and wife Holly; 10 great grand-children, Jaylin Barraza, Camilah Porras, Vince Porras, Tyler Porras, Andrew Porras, Nolan Wortham, Lane Wortham, Chance Wortham, Waylon Wortham and Willow Wortham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Nicholas Puga, James Puga, Alfredo Puga, Clemente Puga, Albert Puga and Antonio Puga; and one sister, Elvira Gomez.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Porras, Matthew Jimenez, Joseph Jimenez, Ray Marquez, Charles Puga and Mike Sanchez.
