Patsy Baird

Patsy Baird, 75, of Big Spring, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in a local nursing home after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Private interment will follow at a later date at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Vincent, Texas and married James Baird Nov. 24, 1956, in Big Spring, Texas.

She was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and was a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, James Baird of Big Spring; two daughters, Nancy Darnell and husband, Terry and Cathy Denton and husband, Kim, all of Big Spring; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Faytie Bennett; one daughter, Sherrie Baird; five sisters; and five brothers.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Sherrie Baird Memorial Scholarship Fund at Howard College in Big Spring.
