Paul 'Pete' Petree

Paul "Pete" Petree, 70, of Midland died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in a Houston hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with Arthur Allen, High Priest of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.

He was born May 6, 1941 in Abilene. Paul was raised on a small farm outside of Stanton and attended Stanton High School. After graduation he worked for Texas Electric for 35 years. He married Eloise Schuelke and raised his family in Midland.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelli Hamilton of Midland; a son, Aaron Petree and wife Brandi of Katy; two sisters, Caryl Henderson and husband Larry of Big Spring and Betty Wagley of Bedais, Texas; one brother, David Petree of Big Spring; and six grandchildren.
