Pauline Schuelke

Pauline Schuelke, 94, of Ackerly, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in a Lubbock hospice facility. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at the First Bapitst Church of Ackerly with Dr. Stan Blevins, Jeff Scott and Corbin Young, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Hoxie, Texas and married Fred Schuelke April 27, 1939 in Georgetown, Texas. He preceded her in death February 17, 2002.

The Schuelke's moved to Dawson County in 1945 and into Ackerly in 1977. She volunteered at the Big Spring State Hospital and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ackerly. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church Quilting Club.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Nellie Schuelke of Knott and Kenneth and Patty Schuelke of Stanton; daughter-in-law, Mary Thornton Schuelke; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmie Schuelke; a daughter-in-law, Karen Schuelke; a great-granddaughter, Blair Nicole Schuelke; two brothers; and one sister.

The family suggests memorials be made to Circle Six Baptist Camp, P.O. Box 976, Stanton, Texas 79782.
