Peggy Atchison

Peggy Atchison, 82, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Big Spring died Monday, March 12, 2012, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, at Mount Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating.

She was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Big Spring to Dorothy and George Winslow. She grew up in Big Spring and lived most of her life in Stanton and Midland, moving to Wichita, Kan., several years ago. She was a cosmetologist and had owned several beauty salons in Midland.

She is survived by one son, George Atchison of Wichita, Kan.; a granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clelan Atchison; one son, Robert Dale “Bobby” Atchison; one granddaughter; and all of her brothers, Robert, Ed, Euell and Don Winslow.
