Petra 'Pat' Arguello

Petra “Pat” Arguello of Coahoma died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Big Spring with the Rev. Tom Koger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Coahoma, officiating.

Petra was born Dec. 10, 1950 in Big Spring, Texas to Pascuala (Gonzales) Ruiz and Bernabe Ruiz. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She worked for 18 years in the cafeteria of Coahoma schools. She was also a homemaker. During her illness, she still showed a strong love for all her family, especially the memory of her mom. She was a Catholic.

She is survived by her husband, Santos Arguello of Coahoma; three sons: Gene Arguello and wife Cherrie of Big Spring, and Mark Arguello and Isaac Arguello of Coahoma; and two grandchildren, Haley Arguello of Coahoma and Gabby Arguello of Fort Worth.

She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, one son, Sonny Arguello, and her grandson, Jacob Arguello.
