Plans cookin for annual St. Mary's celebration

November 15, 2011

Something’s cooking at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, literally and figuratively.

The members of St. Mary’s Parish are busy preparing traditional Scottish recipes for their upcoming St. Andrew’s Day Evening Prayer and Scottish Music Festival set for 7 p.m. Sunday.

“In addition to things cooking in the kitchen, extra special plans are being cooked up for this year’s festival,” said Linda Hill, St. Mary's music director. “The service and reception on the 20th will be the final event in a year-long celebration of St. Mary’s 125th anniversary. This will also be the 10th presentation of the church’s annual St. Andrew’s Day gala.”
