The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• JOHN MANUEL RIOS, 47, transient, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• KEVIN BRYAN ESPINOZA, 28, of 605 E. 13th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• MELANIE LUVERNE JONES, 38, of 1003 Stadium, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• AMY MORGAN PRIKRYL, 20, of 3803 Connally, was arrested Wednesday on charges of interfering with the duties of a public servant, abandoning/endangering a child – criminal negligence and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• RICKY LEE TATE, 25, of 1900 Martin Luther King Blvd. Apt. 601, was arrested Wednesday on charges of assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, search or transportation, tampering/fabricating physical evidence, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, abandoning/endangering a child – criminal negligence and evading arrest or detention using a vehicle.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 600 block of Craigmont.
In the 300 block of E. Interstate Highway 20.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 1100 block of W. Sixth Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 86 inmates at the time of this report.
• RICKY LEE TATE, 25, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on charges of assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, search or transportation, tampering/fabricating physical evidence, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, abandoning/endangering a child – criminal negligence and evading arrest or detention using a vehicle.
• KEVIN BRYAN ESPINOZA, 28, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• MELANIE LUVERNE JONES, 38, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of Highway 350 and FM 1205. Two people were evacuated from the scene by helicopter.
• GRASS FIRE was reported in the 2800 block of W. Highway 80.
