Police Beat

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• PEDRO SAUCEDO, 40, of Stanton, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for failure to control speed and failure to appear.
• REBECCA RIVAS, 32, of 1505 Johnson, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for no driver's license – when unlicensed, failure to appear and two warrants from another agency.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 73 inmates at the time of this report.
• JOE CRUZ GUTIERREZ, 23, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• REBECCA RIVAS, 32, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on charges of theft by check, bondsman off bond for possession of a controlled substance and municipal warrants for no driver's license and violation of a promise to appear.
• PEDRO SAUCEDO, 40, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on municipal warrants for failure to control speed and violation of a promise to appear.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1500 block of Syracuse. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1100 block of Oil Mill Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2700 block of Marshall. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of E. 21st Street. Service refused.
