Police beat for May 18

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
• ROBERT RUBEN SANCHEZ, 47, of 1023 Stadium, was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication with three prior convictions.
• CATISHA DEANN MINTER, 28, of 2521 Dow, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for permitting unlicensed minor to drive (parent or guardian).
• FREDA MAE OBRIEN, 56, of 3805 Connally, was arrested Thursday on a warrant from another agency.
• MELISSA KAY WHITE, 25, of 1810 Nolan, was arrested Thursday on warrants for no driver's license – when unlicensed and a warrant from another agency.
• LANCE WAYNE LAND, 23, of 1606 Settles, was arrested Thursday on a charge of theft – more than $50 and less than $500.
• MARIE VICKIE HERNANDEZ, 40, of 1605 Oriole, was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.
• JEFFREY PAUL CARTER, 49, of 1202 Jeffery Rd., was arrested Thursday on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• CARL WILLIAM-TABOR WELLS, 29, of 102 Merrick Rd., was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.
• EURVIN JAMALL WINTERS, 24, of Martin Luther King Blvd. (apartment not provided), was arrested Friday on warrants from other agencies (three counts).
• THEFT was reported in the 1600 block of E. Sixth Street.
• STOLEN VEHICLE was reported in the 1200 block of Jeffery Road.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 66 inmates at the time of this report.
• CATISHA DEAN MINTER, 28, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for permitting unlicensed person to drive – guardian.
• FREDA MAE OBRIEN, 56, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of issuance of a bad check.
• MELISSA KAY WHITE, 25, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on charges of parent contributing to the non-attendance and no driver's license.
• LANCE WAYNE BIDDLE LAND, 23, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of theft of property – more than $50 and less than $500.
• JUAN PABLO FERDIN, 52, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on a charge of bondsman off bond for possession of a controlled substance and a municipal warrant for animal at large.
• JEFFREY PAUL CARTER, 49, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• CARL WILLIAM WELLS, 29, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.
• MARIE VICKIE HERNANDEZ, 40, was booked into the county detention center Friday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.
• EURVIN WINTERS, 24, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on municipal capias warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility, running a stop sign and driving while license invalid.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Highland. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of E. FM 700. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 5200 block of Craig Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1900 block of Wasson. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 200 block of Moore. Service refused.
