Police Blotter 11-05

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
• JOHNNY RAY VIERA JR., 25, of 1605 S. Main, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• DAVID LYNN DOW, 27, 1402 Tucson, was arrested Thursday on a charge of walking in roadway where sidewalks provided.
• GENARO LOPEZ CASTILLO III, 20, of 1205 Harding, was arrested Thursday on warrants for no driver's license – when unlicensed (three counts) and failure to appear.
• NATHAN PRESCOTT RICHARDSON, 21, of 3906 Connally, was arrested Friday on charges of theft – shoplifting, consumption of alcohol by a minor and failure to appear.
• JOE H. SPENCER JR., 45, of 5211 Longshore Dr., was arrested Friday on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and two warrants from another agency.
• DUSTY ROSE THOMPSON, 29, of 2609 Wasson Rd. Apt. 15, was arrested Friday on a warrant for speeding.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 600 block of N.E. Ninth Street.
In the 200 block of W. FM 700.
In the 400 block of Fourth Street.
In the 1100 block of N. Lamesa Highway.
• DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE was reported in the 1400 block of Tucson.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1000 block of N. Main Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 75 inmates at the time of this report.
• JOHNNY RAY VIERA JR., 25, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• DAVID LYNN DOW, 27, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of walking on roadway where sidewalk provided.
• GENARO LOPEZ CASTILLO III, 20, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on municipal warrants for no driver's license (three counts) and violation of a promise to appear.
• BRANDI NICOLE VAUGHN, 17, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on a charge of failure to attend school.
• JOE SPENCER, 45, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and warrants for burglary of a vehicle and burglary of a building.
• NATHAN PRESCOTT RICHARDSON, 21, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a charge of theft and warrants for minor consuming alcohol and failure to appear.
• DUSTY ROSE THOMPSON, 29, was transferred to the county jail Friday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for speeding.
• JOHN MICHAEL EDMONDSON JR., 20, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on charges of failure to appear – fraudulent use or possession of identifying information and a motion to adjudicate.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 400 block of Westover Road. Service refused.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 100 block of N.W. Ninth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of Lincoln. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 900 block of E. 14th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 600 block of N.W. Eighth Street. Service refused.
