Police blotter for 10-15-2011

The Big Spring Police Department reported the followingactivity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
• CARLOS RENE GARCIA, 33, of 600 S. Bell, was arrested Friday on warrants for failed to maintain financial responsibility and theft less than $50/shoplifting.
• JAMEY SCOTT JOHNSON, 48, transient, was arrested Friday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• SAMMY FERRELL, 50, of 509 N. Johnson St., was arrested Friday on a charge of public intoxication with three prior convictions.
• DANICA MARIE DIAZ, 18, of 600 Johnson St., was arrested on warrants for violate school rules (two counts), consumption of alcohol by a minor (three counts), use or possession of illegal smoking paraphernalia and fail to appear (two counts).
• TERRELL DEMERSON, 18, of 1900 Martin Luther King Boulevard, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces and warrant from other agency.
• ALEX FRANKLIN MINTER, 19, of 2509 Gunter, was arrested Saturday on a charge of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces.
• GABRIEL ADAM PENA, 18, of 2300 E. Marcy, was arrested Saturday on a charge of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces.
• BURGLARY OF HABITATION was reported:
In the 4000 block of Vicky Street.
In the 1800 block of E. Old Colorado City.
• THEFT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 3600 block of W. Hwy 80.
