The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. May 21, 2013 and 7 a.m. today:
• RICHARD LEE OLIVAS, 26, of 1600 Donley, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• BYRON DELOREAN SHEDD, 30, of 1319 Harding was arrested Tuesday on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest/detention and aggravated robbery.
• BRANDON JOE ROBINSON, 27, of 1317 Elm St., was arrested Tuesday on two warrants from another agency.
• JAMIE JONES CHAPPELL, 36, of 1200 Madison St., was arrested Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than or equal to 0.15 and resisting arrest search or transport.
• ERLINDA EVETTE RIOS, 25, of 1906 Winston St., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of theft greater than or equal to $500 but less than $1500.
• YSA RUBIIO, 51, of 621 Sgt. Paradez St., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams.
• LUPE MENDOZA CHAVARRIA, 59, of 605 S. Abrams St., was arrested Wednesday on warrants for expired motor vehicle inspection certification, disregarding a stop sign, parked with wheels over 18 inches from curb or edge of roadway, driving while intoxicated and two counts of failure to appear.
• RUDOLFO LEO GUTIERREZ, III, 21, OF 2613 S. Monticello St., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for no drivers license.
• JORGE LUIS GOMEZ, 24, of 508 State St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from another agency.
• ABIGAIL VALENCIA, 17, of 1907 S. Main St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana less than or equal to 2 ounces.
• THOMAS ROY WHITE, 22, of 400 NW Broadway, Coahoma, was arrested Tuesday on charges of disregarding a stop sign, possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, possession of a dangerous drug and burglary of a habitation.
• RUSSELL CHARLES HESSON, 44, of 1301 Colby, was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, possession of drug paraphernalia and for two warrants from another agency.
• BURGLARY IN PROGRESS was reported at the 3500 block of Gail HWY.
• MINOR ACCIDENT was reported at the 1000 block of S. Gregg.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported at the 100 block of W. Second St.
• THEFT was reported at the 1000 block of Birdwell Ln. and the 2300 block of S. Monticello,
• FORGERY was reported at the 3600 block of W. HWY 80.
• UNWANTED SUBJECT was reported at the 200 block of NE 12th St.
• ASSAULT was reported at the 1700 block of W. Third St.
• SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY was reported at the 1000 block of N. Main St.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported at the 2600 block of Ent St.
• ASSAULT was reported at the 1400 block of Wood St.
• ASSAULT was reported at the 1500 block of Princeton Ave.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
• ABIGAIL DAISY VALENCIA, 17, was booked into the HCSO on a charge of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
• NED RANDAL HILDEBRAND, 39, was booked to begin sentence for DWI and evading arrest.
• KENNETH RAY PEACOCK, 24, was booked to begin sentence for DWI.
• RICHARD LEE OLIVAS, 26, was booked by the Big Spring Police Department on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.
• THOMAS ROY WHITE, 22, was booked by the HCSO on a charge of disregarding a stop sign, possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, possession of a dangerous drug and burglary of a habitation.
• BRANDON JOE ROBINSON, 27, was booked by the BSPD on charges of bail jumping, failure to appear and a parole warrant.
• BYRON DELOREAN SHEDD, 30, was booked by the BSPD on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest/detention and aggravated robbery.
• ERLINDA EVETTE RIOS, 25, was booked by the BSPD on a charge of theft greater than or equal to $500 but less than $1500.
• YSA RUBIO SR., 51, of 621 Sgt. Paradez St., was booked by the BSPD Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 28 grams.

• RUSS C. HESSON, 45, was booked by the HCSO on capias warrants for failure to display expired motor vehicle inspection, speeding in a school zone 42 MPH in a 20 MPH zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.
• RUDOLFO GUTIERREZ, 21, was booked by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license suspended.
• LUPE MENDOZA CHAVARRIA, 59, was booked by the BSPD on warrants for expired motor vehicle inspection certification, disregarding a stop sign, parked with wheels over 18 inches from curb or edge of roadway, driving while intoxicated and two counts of failure to appear.
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 83 inmates at the time of this report.
