Police/Sheriff/EMS 06-18

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• JASON SCOTT EDWARDS, 24, of 1208 Harding, was arrested Monday on two warrants from other agencies and a charge of shoplifting – more than $50 and less than $500.
• AVEL ABREO RAMIREZ, 66, of 1512 Wood, was arrested Monday on a charge of public intoxication.
• FRANK HERNANDEZ, 43, of 311 N. Aylesford, was arrested Monday on a charge of theft – more than $50 and less than $1,500.
• ASHLEY ANN TAYLOR, 33, of 1112 Sycamore, was arrested Monday on a warrant for parent contributing to the non-attendance of a minor.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported:
In the 1900 block of Martin Luther King.
In the 1100 block of N. Aylesford.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 1400 block of N. Highway 87.
In the 3600 block of N. Highway 80.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 82 inmates at the time of this report.
• JOHNATHON MARQUEZ, 33, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on municipal warrants for driving while license invalid, assault – family violence, failure to appear (two counts) and alcoholic beverage in city park.
• JASON SCOTT EDWARDS, 24, was booked into the county detention center Monday by the BSPD on charges of burglary of a building, assault – family violence and theft of property – more than $50 and less than $500.
• FRANK HERNANDEZ, 43, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for theft of property – more than $50 and less than $500.
• MORGAN BINDY HORTON, 24, was booked into the county detention center Monday by DPS on a Midland County warrant for fraudulent intent to obtain controlled substance – schedule 3-4.
• AVEL ABREO RAMIREZ, 66, was booked into the county detention center Monday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 300 block of S. Gregg Street. Two people were transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 900 block of Willia. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1900 block of Runnels. One person was transported to SMMC.
