The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• SETH DAVID MITCHELL, 29, of 1705 Hilltop Rd., was arrested Wednesday on charges of evading arrest or detention using a motor vehicle, driving while license suspended/invalid – no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• ROBERT ADAM MATA, 26, of 1511 S. Johnson, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from another agency.
• DAVID BRIAN LOWNES, 53, of 5700 Cedar Rd. Apt. 47, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• RAE LYNN JENNINGS, 33, of 1401 N. Highway 87, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1000 block of E. 14th Street.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 3600 block of W. Highway 80.
In the 500 block of N. Lamesa Highway.
• HIT AND RUN was reported in the 800 block of W. Interstate Highway 20.
• ASSAULT was reported:
In the 1500 block of Scurry.
In the 1500 block of Johnson.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 75 inmates at the time of this report.
• ROBERT RIVERA, 41, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for burglary of a building.
• SETH DAVID MITCHELL, 29, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on charges of evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• ROBERT ADAM MATA, 26, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a municipal capias warrant for no driver's license.
• DAVID BRIAN LOWNES, 53, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAUMA was reported in the 500 block of E. 23rd Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 100 block of Washington. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 600 block of W. Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
