The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• DARRIN JAY CROOKS, 53, of 4200 Bilger, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• TIFFANY ANN ELDER, 30, of 2600 Langley, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• JOSEPH ANTHONY GUTIERREZ, 22, of 1707 State, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
• JEREMY DALE BLEVINS, 28, of 607 W. 17th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of theft or shoplifting – more than $50 and less than $500.
• ASSAULT was reported:
In the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
In the 3600 block of W. Highway 80.
In the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• THEFT was reported in the 200 block of W. FM 700.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 68 inmates at the time of this report.
• ELIZABETH NEWSOME, 23, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of bail jumping – failure to appear.
• KRISTA NICOLE BOUNDS, 23, was booked into the county detention center Wednesday by the BSPD on municipal capias warrants for driving while license invalid.
• JEREMY DALE BLEVINS, 28, was booked into the county detention center Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of theft – more than $50 and less than $500.
• JOSEPH ANTHONY GUTIERREZ, 22, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for public intoxication and charges of possession of a controlled substance and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of Third Street and San Antonio. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 800 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
