The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
• JAMES ARTHUR WHITED, 47, of 309 W. Fifth St., was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.
• CURTIS THOMPSON, 53, of 500 S. Goliad, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of a controlled substance (two counts), possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
• THOMAS ALLEN YOUNG, 17, of 1425 E. Sixth St. Apt. 15, was arrested Thursday on a charge of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – two ounces or less.
• JOSHUA DAVID MITCHELL, 19, of 1106 Stanford, was arrested Thursday on a warrant from another agency.
• PAMELA KAY LEFLER, 50, of 1307 Mulberry, was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.
• DENVER RAY HEFFINGTON, 27, of 4111 Muir, was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.
• WILLIAM DILLAN LUXTON, 20, of Stanton, Texas, was arrested Thursday on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation and parked facing traffic.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1700 block of Purdue.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 3600 block of W. Highway 80.
In the area of County Road 36.
In the 1700 block of E. Third Street.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 400 block of Young.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported in the 800 block of E. Third Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 66 inmates at the time of this report.
• THOMAS ALLEN YOUNG, 17, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – two ounces or less.
• CURTIS THOMPSON, 53, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on charges of possession of a controlled substance (two counts), possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
• JOSHUA MITCHELL, 19, was booked into the county detention center Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of bondsman off bond for criminal mischief – more than $1,500 and less than $20,000.
• WILLIAM DILLAN LUXTON, 20, was arrested Friday by the HCSO on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation and parked facing traffic.
• DENVER RAY HEFFINGTON, 27, was booked into the county detention center Friday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported near the intersection of 18th Street and Nolan. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of E. Sixth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1500 block of E. Fourth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 100 block of Interstate Highway 20. Six people were transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2900 block of W. Highway 80. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1000 block of W. Fourth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of W. Marcy. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2400 block of Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
