The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• JAMES WILLIAM HALE JR., 58, of 1809 Mittel, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of assault of a public servant.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 2600 block of Chanute.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 3000 block of Navajo.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 71 inmates at the time of this report.
•CRYSTAL NICOLE LOPEZ, 24, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for driving while license invalid.
• JANET DARLENE LUJAN, 53, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for theft (two counts).
• ASHLEY NICOLE RUNCIE, 23, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of theft.
• JAMES WILLIAM HALE, 58, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of assault of a public servant.
• JAMES BRYAN KEITH HAMMONDS, 21, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on Midland warrants for burglary of a habitation and failure to appear – theft of property.
• ERNEST WILLIAM CLARK, 71, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1100 block of E. 14th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2600 block of S. Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of Craigmont. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 200 block of W. Marcy. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3800 block of Piper Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1100 block of N. Nolan. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of E. Sixth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 400 block of S. Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
