The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• CYNTHIA RODRIGUEZ GARZA, 42, was arrested Monday on charges of public intoxication, defective turn signal lamps and failure to appear.
• JACOB JAY AGUIRRE, 30, of Stanton, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• JAMES TANNER-CLARK BAILEY, 17, of 211 Wooten Rd., was arrested Monday on a charge of theft – shoplifting.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 200 block of N.E. Eighth Street.
In the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
In the 3600 block of Calvin Street.
In the 200 block of W. FM 700.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 75 inmates at the time of this report.
• CYNTHIA MELISSA GARZA, 42, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of public intoxication, defective turn signal and violation of a promise to appear.
• SERGIO JOSEPH MARTINEZ, 20, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on charges of passenger not secured by safety belt and violation of a promise to appear.
• FRANSISCO RENE GUERERRO, 31, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on charges of bail jumping – failure to appear (two counts), bondsman off bond for evading arrest or detention and bondsman off bond for possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• JACKIE JOE-KYLE KIRKHAM, 17, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on charges of consumption of alcoholic beverage by a minor and no driver's license.
• OTIS J. PORTER, 28, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• TANNER BAILEY, 17, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of theft.
• CLAYTON WILLIAM WIGINGTON, 25, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while intoxicated – second offense.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Birdwell Lane. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 500 block of W. 17th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of Aylesford. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2600 block of E. 24th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3200 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of Johnson. One person was transported to SMMC.
• GRASS FIRE was reported near the intersection of Mesquite and Airport Road.
