The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• JOSE ANTONIO NIETO, 31, transient, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• TAVARRES CORNEAL CASTON, 30, of Midland, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
• DERRICK DAMOND WILBERT, 30, of 1207 Lamar, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• ASSAULT was reported:
In the 300 block of S. Aylesford.
In the 800 block of W. FM 700.
In the 1500 block of E. 11th Place.
• THEFT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 81 inmates at the time of this report.
• ROBERT DONALD GILBERT, 43, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for possession of a controlled substance.
• TAVARRES CORNEAL CASTON, 30, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• DERRICK DAMOND WILBERT, 30, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• RONNIE RENE RIVERA, 31, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on charges of public intoxication and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
