The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• RONALD PHILLIP CASILLAS III, 36, of 2706 S. Monticello, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of illegal smoking material.
• JAMES ODELL PERRY, 45, of 538 Westover Rd. Apt. 249, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of illegal smoking material and a warrant from another agency.
• ELSA HILARIO MIER, 22, of 1900 Martin Luther King Blvd. Apt. 209, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
In the 1600 block of Donley.
In the 2200 block of Grace.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1200 block of Wood.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• THEFT was reported in the 1100 block of E. 13th Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 76 inmates at the time of this report.
• ABEL JAVIER PADILLA, 46, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on an order modifying community supervision/forgery of a financial instrument.
• RONALD PHILLIPS CASILLAS, 36, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession or use of illegal smoking material.
• JAMES ODELL PERRY, 45, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a Taylor County warrant for forgery and charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession or use of illegal smoking material.
• ELSA MIER, 22, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• ARTHUR EARL JACKSON, 44, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a Travis County warrant for failure to appear – child support hearing.
• ALFRED RIOS, 56, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for expired driver's license.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of Nolan. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1200 block of Lindberg. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 800 block of Andre. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of Marcy. One person was transported to SMMC.
