The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• MONA ALICIA SALDANA, 26, of 1400 Virginia, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for driving while license invalid (five counts), failure to appear (eight counts), failure to maintain financial responsibility and expired motor vehicle inspection certificate (three counts).
• CATARINA FRANCO, 20, of 1407 Scurry, was arrested Wednesday on charges of failure to identify and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• GENARO LOPEZ CASTILLO III, 21, of 1205 Harding, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana – more than four ounces and less than five pounds and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• ANTHONY ELIZANDRO SOLIS, 20, of 1905 Wasson Rd. Apt. 61, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from another agency and a warrant for criminal mischief.
• JO ANN AFRICH, 45, of 3213 Auburn, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for no driver's license – when unlicensed.
• LANCE WAYNE LAND, 22, of 5203 Sterling, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for assault by contact.
• MOBEY CORDELL LEWIS, 19, of 506 Young, was arrested Wednesday on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place and possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – two ounces or less.
• JOSE ARENIVAZ, 44, of 100 Carey, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• SHANE EDDIE ANDERSON, 39, of 1200 Lloyd, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and three warrants from other agencies.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
In the area of Ninth Street and Goliad.
In the 1000 block of Nolan.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• THEFT was reported in the 200 block of W. FM 700.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:

• GENARO LOPEZ CASTILLO III, 21, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of possession of marijuana – more than four ounces and less than five pounds, and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• JO ANN AFRICH, 46, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of no driver's license.
• ANTHONY SOLIS, 20, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of issuance of a bad check and criminal mischief.
• MOBEY CORDELL LEWIS, 19, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place and possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – two ounces or less.
• LANCE WAYNE BIDDLE LAND, 22, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a capias warrant for assault – physical contact.
• SHANE ANDERSON, 39, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of failure to display driver's license, speeding, violation of a promise to appear and possession of a controlled substance.
• JOSE ALFREDO ARENIVEZ, 44, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• MICHAEL EVERET BARNETT, 23, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on charges of assault causing bodily injury – family violence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
