The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• MANUEL SOSA, 18, of 1905 Wasson Rd. Apt. 41, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• MELVIN KEITH BROWNFIELD, 68, of 2107 Morrison Dr., was arrested Monday on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• XAVIAN FELIX YOUNG, 21, of 600 N.W. Eighth St., was arrested Monday on warrants for driving without safety belt secured and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
• MANUEL SOSA, 18, of 1905 Wasson Rd. Apt. 41, was arrested Monday on charges of criminal mischief – more than $50 and less than $500, assault by threat and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• ROSEMARY ROACHA ALVAREZ, 38, of 1500 Lincoln, was arrested Monday on charges of driving while license invalid – DWI related, failure to appear (three counts), failure to maintain financial responsibility – second offense, unlawful; dog or cat tethering and wrong license plate.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1100 block of Lloyd.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 70 inmates at the time of this report.
• XAVIAN FELIX YOUNG, 21, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of failure to maintain financial responsibility and no seat belt – driver.
• DAVID CORNELIOUS WESTBROOK, 17, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – two ounces or less.
• MELVIN KEITH BROWNFIELD, 68, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• MANUEL SOSA IV, 18, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation, criminal mischief and assault by threats.
• BENARDO JACINTO HILARIO, 23, was arrested Monday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for driving while intoxicated – open container.
• ROSEMARY ALVAREZ, 38, was transferred to the county jail Monday by the BSPD on charges of driving while license invalid – DWI related, failure to appear (three counts), failure to maintain financial responsibility – second offense, unlawful; dog or cat tethering and wrong license plate.
• WILLIAM JOHN SOLOMON, 47, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of driving while intoxicated – open container.
• SAMUEL JACK ELLIS, 35, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on municipal warrants for defective brakes and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of Sunset. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2000 block of Nolan. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of N.E. Eighth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 900 block of N.W. Third Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 500 block of Highland. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of W. Fourth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3500 block of E. Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• STRUCTURE FIRE was reported in the 1300 block of Kindle.
