The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• CURTIS THOMPSON, 51, of 500 S. Goliad, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• ISAAC DANIEL PLATT, 22, of 200 E. 11th Place, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for theft.
• EUGENE VANDERBILT, 45, of 1502 Lincoln, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
• ISREAL ALVAREZ, 25, of 1504 Chickasaw, was arrested Tuesday on two warrants from other agencies.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported:
In the 2200 block of Grace.
In the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
In the 1600 block of Tucson.
• THEFT was reported:
Near the intersection of W. FM 846 and Vincent.
In the 3600 block of W. Highway 80.
• BURGLARY OF A BUILDING was reported in the area of County Road 29 and Vealmoor Highway.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 64 inmates at the time of this report.
• CURTIS THOMPSON, 51, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• KERI LYNN FLUX, 31, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age in the vehicle.
• ERMENIA CHAVERA, 50, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for driving while intoxicated – second offense.
• JOEY EUGENE MATA, 24, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on charges of violation of a protective order with two or more previous convictions and duty on striking unattended vehicle.
• ANDREA CROFT, 27, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• ALEXANDER BURCIAGA, 21, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on charges of bondsman off bond – manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance (two counts) and municipal capias warrants for in park after hours, failure to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility, violation of a promise to appear (three counts) and no driver's license (two counts).
• EUGENE VANDERBILT JR., 45, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• ISAAC DANIEL PLATT, 22, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of theft.
• ISREAL ALVAREZ, 25, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on charges of failure to appear – unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and failure to appear – possession of a controlled substance.
• MELINDA HERNANDEZ REYES, 41, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while intoxicated – open container.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2500 block of Ann. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2300 block of Wasson. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3900 block of Wasson. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3700 block of Caroline. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of Veterans Blvd. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1100 block of E. 13th Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of Becker. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1900 block of Scurry. Service refused.
• AUTOMOBILE FIRE was reported in the area of the Municipal Landfill.
• AUTOMOBILE FIRE was reported in the 5700 block of Cedar. Fire was out on arrival.
