The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• AVELARDO CASTILLO JR., 22, of 601 St. Paul St. in Stanton, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for theft (two counts).
• ROY PAIZ GARCIA, 52, of 1212 E. 16th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
• MARK W. PETERS, 21, of Woodlawn, Tenn., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• ROBERT RODRIGUEZ VALENCIA JR., 33, of 507 N.W. 11th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and a warrant from another agency.
• THEFT was reported in the 1500 block of Owens.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported in the 1600 block of E. 11th Place.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:

• JAIME HERNANDEZ, 44, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of bondsman off bond for bail jumping – failure to appear.
• ROY PAIZ GARCIA, 52, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• JEREMY J. FELTS, 33, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• ROBERT RODRIGUEZ VALENCIA, 33, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of possession of a controlled substance and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
• MARK W. PETERS, 21, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• CANDICE BURNETT, 27, was booked into the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• MICHAEL DALE PRESTON, 27, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on charges of driving while intoxicated – third or more offense, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and duty on striking unattended vehicle.
• HOWARD LEE SPACEK, 27, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on a Midland County warrant for intoxication assault – violation of bond.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of FM 846 and North County Road 33. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Mulberry. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 700 block of W. Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.
