The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• DANIEL ERNEST WRIGHT, 56, transient, was arrested Tuesday on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest, search or transportation.
• DERRICK TODD DRAKE, 25, of 2102 Runnels, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• STEPHEN PATRICK ADAMS, 48, of 604 Dallas, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of assault – family violence.
• GIORGIO ALEXANDER TAYLOR, 21, of 1308 Wright, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of soliciting/peddling without a permit.
• STEVEN DOUGLAS ELDER, 20, of 1809 Nolan, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• CODY RAY THOMPSON, 25, of 200 Merrick Rd., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• JOE CRUZ GUTIERREZ, 24, of 1010 N.W. Second St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for violation of a protective order.
• MELISSA URANGA VELASQUEZ, 47, of 4400 Beachnutt, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of assault – family violence.
• KELVIN WAYNE FLARITY, 19, of 608 Steakley, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.
• DAVID WAYNE OBRIEN, 32, of 5807 Walter Rd., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• DANIEL LEE USSERY, 34, of 1800 S. Monticello, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• WILLIAM WAYNE LEE, 43, of 1800 S. Monticello, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and no driver's license – when unlicensed.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 900 block of Nolan.
In the 2000 block of S. Gregg Street.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported in the 600 block of S. Lancaster.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 400 block of E. Ninth Street.
• ASSAULT was reported in the area near Barcelona Apartments.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 72 inmates at the time of this report.
• BRANDON DEE RUSHIN, 42, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on charges of driving while license invalid, violation of a promise to appear and municipal capias warrants for driving while license invalid (two counts).
• JOE CRUZ GUTIERREZ, 24, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a judgment/sentence for violation of a protective order.
• DERRICK TODD DRAKE, 25, was booked into the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a municipal warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
• MELISSA VELASQUEZ, 47, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of assault – family violence.
• DENNIS EUGENE SCROGGINS, 49, was booked into the county jail Tuesday by the another agency on a charge of theft by check.
• DAVID WAYNE O'BRIEN, 32, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.
• KELVIN WAYNE FLARITY, 19, was arrested Tuesday by the HCSO on charges of failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.
• DANIEL ERNEST WRIGHT, 56, was booked into the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation and public intoxication.
• STEPHEN PATRICK ADAMS, 48, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of assault – family violence.
• STEVEN DOUGLAS ELDER, 20, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of minor in consumption of alcohol.
• GEORGIO ALEXANDER TAYLOR, 21, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of soliciting/peddling after hours – Big Spring city ordinance.
• CODY RAY THOMPSON, 25, was booked into the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.
• DANIEL LEE USSERY, 34, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• WILLIAM WAYNE LEE, 43, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and municipal warrants for no driver's license, failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2300 block of Gregg Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 300 block of Veterans Blvd. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the intersection of 11th Place and Goliad. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 400 block of Dallas. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3200 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1900 block of Simler. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Elm. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1400 block of Robin. One person was transported to SMMC.
• AUTOMOBILE FIRE was reported in the 900 block of Main Street.
