The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
• ANDY DEMOND PIPER, 26, of 1217 W. Third St., was arrested Monday on warrants for driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
• ERICK SHERROD FRANKS, 37, of 2209 Cecilia St., was arrested Monday on charges of assault causing bodily injury and abandoning/endangering a child – criminal negligence.
• BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE was reported in the 400 block of E. Fourth Street.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1800 block of E. FM 700.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 71 inmates at the time of this report.
• ERICK SHERROD FRANKS, 37, was booked into the county detention center Monday by the BSPD on charges of assault causing bodily injury and abandoning/endangering a child – criminal negligence.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 200 block of Jefferson. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3700 block of Dixon. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3200 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported near the intersection of Young and E. Fifth Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 400 block of Young. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of Lark. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of First Avenue. Service refused.
