The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• TERRY WILLIAM SAWYERS, 49, of 1504 S. Main St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• MANUEL SOSA, 18, of 2510 Ent Dr., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1300 block of Stadium.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 1900 block of Martin Luther King Blvd.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 61 inmates at the time of this report.
• CLAYTON DOW BIRMELIN, 24, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid.
• JOSHUA JOEL RIOS, 27, was arrested Wednesday by DPS on Howard County warrants for driving while license invalid and violation of a promise to appear.
• STEPHEN CRUZ, 32, was arrested Wednesday by DPS on municipal warrants for failure to control speed and violation of a promise to appear.
• GRAZIANA MOJICA, 43, was arrested Wednesday by DPS on charges of violation of a promise to appear and no liability insurance.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 800 block of Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 2300 block of Gatesville. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2000 block of Rickabaugh Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1300 block of Utah. One person was transported to SMMC.
