The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• CAROL THOMAS SCAGGS, 63, of 510 S. Benton, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• KELLY BARNES MCELYEA, 49, of 1103 W. Fifth St., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• JOSE ANGEL URIAS, 18, of 206 Simer Rd., was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – more than two ounces, less than four ounces.
• JUAN MANUEL TALAMANTEZ, 57, of 1011 S. Johnson, was arrested Tuesday on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation, terroristic threat against a public servant and assault of a public servant.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF was reported in the 3200 block of Rickabaugh Road.
• THEFT was reported in the 800 block of W. Interstate Highway 20.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 2500 block of Gunter Circle.
• BURGLARY OF A HABITATION was reported in the 1200 block of Lamar.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 60 inmates at the time of this report.
• KELLY MCELYEA, 49, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• CAROL ANN SCAGGS, 63, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
• JOSE URIAS, 18, was transferred to the county jail Tuesday by the BSPD on a charge of possession of marijuana in a drug free zone – more than two ounces, less than four ounces.
• JOHNNY M. TALAMANTEZ, 57, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of resisting arrest, search or transportation, terroristic threat against a public servant and assault of a public servant.
