The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• KIMBERLY MARIE CASTILLO, 27, of 1000 Howell, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid – no insurance.
• TEPHANIE MCCORMICK, 37, of 3304 W. Highway 80, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for no inspection certificate and a warrant from another agency.
• JAMES PATRICK THOMPSON, 39, of 2300 S. Monticello, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for theft.
• CHARLOTTE JEAN BATEMAN, 48, of 1422 Tucson, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for speeding and failure to appear.
• JIMMY RODRIQUEZ, 53, of 501 N.E. Ninth St., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from another agency.
• CHRIS ALAN NIX, 27, of 428 Hillside Dr., was arrested Thursday on a warrant from another agency.
• THEFT was reported:
In the 1100 block of Lloyd.
In the 200 block of Channing.
• ASSAULT was reported in the 2500 block of Chanute.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 72 inmates at the time of this report.
• ALFREDO COVARRUBIAS, 41, was arrested Wednesday by the HCSO on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• TEPHANIE ANNE SHULTS, 37, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of theft of property and no valid inspection certificate.
• CHARLOTTE JAMES, 48, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of speeding and failure to appear.
• JIMMY ESCOVEDO RODRIGUEZ, 53, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a warrant for revocation of parole.
• JAMES PATRICK THOMPSON, 39, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for failure to appear – forgery of a financial instrument (two counts), theft, forgery of a financial instrument and a five year sentence to TDCJ for fraud.
• CHRIS ALAN NIX, 27, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a Mitchell County warrant for a parole violation.

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported near the 189 mile marker of Interstate Highway 20. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAFFIC ACCIDENT was reported in the 500 block of N. Lamesa. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1000 block of E. Third Street. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3200 block of Parkway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1600 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1000 block of Bluebonnet. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 3000 block of Piper Road. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1600 block of Lancaster. One person was transported to SMMC.
