The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• DAVID ORTIZ, 41, of 105 N.E. 10th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• IDA JOYCE JONES, 44, of 5907 N. Service Rd. Apt. 18, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid – no insurance.
• MARTIN ALVARADO, 30, of 1603 Cardinal, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for driving while license invalid (two counts), failure to appear and no driver's license – when unlicensed.
• MARCUS LAMON COLE, 24, of 1102 S. Lancaster, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of hindering officers discharging official duties.
• FABIAN HILARIO, 19, of 709 S. Douglas, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for expired motor vehicle inspection certificate (two counts) and failure to display driver's license.
• SHANE ALAN KNOWLTON, 24, of 902 E. 12th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of assault.
• CLAYTON DOW BIRMELIN, 24, of Lubbock, was arrested Wednesday on charges of evading arrest or detention, resisting arrest, search or transportation, public intoxication and a warrant from another agency.
• MICHAEL PAUL HOGAN, 39, of 1710 S. Young, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of driving while license suspended/invalid with a previous conviction.
• STEPHANIE ROCHELLE WILLIAMS, 22, of 1614 Canary, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for possession of marijuana – two ounces or less in a drug free zone and a warrant from another agency.
• RUBY G. HERNANDEZ, 27, of 1401 Dixie, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for driving while license invalid (three counts), failure to appear and no safety seat system for child.
• TABATHA LEE HOWELL, 33, of 1705 Hilltop Rd., was arrested Thursday on a charge of public intoxication.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity:
Note — Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 71 inmates at the time of this report.
• IDA JOYCE JEFFERSON JONES, 44, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• MARTIN ALVARADO, 30, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on municipal warrants for driving while license invalid (two counts), violation of a promise to appear and no driver's license.
• FABIAN HILARIO, 19, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on charges of expired motor vehicle inspection certificate (two counts) and miscellaneous Class C.
• MARCUS LAMON COLE, 24, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of hindering officers discharging official duties.
• SHANE ALAN KNOWLTON, 24, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of assault – family violence.
• MICHAEL PAUL HOGAN, 39, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a charge of driving while license invalid with a previous conviction or suspension.
• RUBY G. HERNANDEZ, 27, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on municipal warrants for driving while license invalid (three counts), failure to appear and unrestrained child under five years of age.
• STEPHANIE R. WILLIAMS, 22, was transferred to the county jail Wednesday by the BSPD on a motion to revoke probation for possession of marijuana – more than two ounces and less than four ounces and a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less in a drug free zone.
• CLAYTON DOW BIRMELIN, 24, was transferred to the county jail Thursday by the BSPD on a motion to revoke probation for driving while intoxicated and charges of evading arrest or detention, resisting arrest, search or transportation and public intoxication.
• JESUSITA MICHELLE ZAPATA, 34, was arrested Thursday by the HCSO on charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (two counts).

The Big Spring Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services reported the following activity:
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1800 block of N. Highway 87. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1500 block of Old Colorado City Highway. One person was transported to SMMC.
• TRAUMA was reported in the 1500 block of Stadium. Service refused.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 1600 block of Canary. One person was transported to SMMC.
• MEDICAL was reported in the 2500 block of Gunter. Service refused.
