Pops fireworks show will go on

June 23, 2011

Pops in the Park will go on with a bang.

There may not be fireworks for the Fourth of July in Howard County, but the Pops in the Park celebration will be able to take place as planned July 3, the Pops board has been assured.

“A professional show adheres to different laws than the private use of fireworks,” said Fire Marshal Carl Condray. “In the past, the city and county have worked together to provide the coverage in this event and this year it will be the same joint effort.”
