Primary runoff election Tuesday

Howard County voters will head to the polls Tuesday to finalize the respective political parties’ nominees for the November general election.

Tuesday’s election features a variety of state and county runoff races, officials said.

Of local interest, the Republican nominee will be selected in two Howard County justice of the peace race. In Precinct 1, Place 2, Robert Fitzgibbons, the leading vote-getter in the March primary, faces former Howard County Sheriff Dale Walker, while Phillip Reid and Connie Shaw vie for Precinct 2 JP nod.
