Ramirez, Weibe named top students at Grady

Grady Independent School District has announced its 2011 valedictorian and salutatorian.

John Ramirez, son of Willie and Agatha Ramirez, has been named as class valedictorian. He has received a Golden “G” for English and math, was voted most likely to succeed and has been on the all A honor roll. He also was a state qualifier for tennis and was involved in football, tennis, track and basketball. He participated in University Interscholastic League activities and donated to canned food drives, cystic fibrosis drives and helped with VA hospital singing and food drives.

Johan Weibe, son of Enrique and Katharina Wiebe, was named salutatorian. He was all district in football and basketball, took third place at state tennis this year and was state runner up in basketball.
