Ray Davidson, 90, of Big Spring died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born April 24, 1923, at Aspermont, Texas, to Frank and Elizabeth Davidson He has been a resident of Howard County since 1956. He married Joyce Phillips, May 23, 1970, in Crosbyton. Before retiring he owned Davidson Floor Covering Company. He is a member of Baptist Temple Church.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Davidson of Big Spring; five daughters: Jane Peterson of Dallas, Yvonne Davidson of Lubbock, Donna Miller of Lubbock, Diane Park of Colorado City, and Elaine Davidson of Lubbock; three step-daughters: Nancy Ward and her husband Joe of Colorado City,Cindy Graves and her husband Glenn of Big Spring, and Vicki Scott of Big Spring; two step-sons: Gary Phillips and his wife Karan, and Rusty Phillips and his wife Mona, all of Big Spring; one sister: Nora Fitts and her husband Al of Missouri; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son; one step-son: Terry Phillips; and two grandsons.
