Relay for Life heading back to Blankenship

Some things are just meant to stay the same.

Unforeseen events have forced the 2012 Howard/Glasscock Relay For Life back to Blankenship Field. The event was scheduled to be held at Memorial Stadium this year.

“We were hoping to do something different this year, but due to the installation of turf at Memorial Stadium, we are going to be moving the event back to where its roots are,” Manny Negron, event chairman, said.

The dates will remain the same, from 6 p.m. April 20 until 6 a.m. April 21. Cancer survivors and those who have joined in the fight against cancer will gather once again to show their support.
