Robert (Bobby) Hooper

Robert (Bobby) Hooper, 65, died at his residence Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
He was born to Lillian and Jeff Hooper of Abilene, Texas. Bobby grew up in Abilene, graduating from Abilene High. He entered the Navy during the Vietnam War. After serving several years, he finished his education at McMurry. He then managed Waldens book stores in several towns for about 20 years.
His failing health forced his retirement at that point.
He had lived in Big Spring about five years.
He is survived by one sister, Janette Hooker and husband Gary of Abilene; his step-father, Don Early of Abilene; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, his kitty Shelley.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillean Early; his father, Jeff Hooper;sister, Wanette Bridges; and all of his grandparents.
No services are planned at this time, honoring his wishes.
