Robert E. 'Dog' Jones Sr.

Robert E. "Dog" Jones Sr., 64, of Big Spring died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Eddy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Robert was born July 15, 1947, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Ardelia "Dee Dee" Brown on July 2, 1988, in Big Spring.
He served in the United States Army and worked in Big Spring for animal control and Ideal Laundry Service. He then began his career in the food industry, working for the VA Medical Center and then for Marriot Corporation as a dietary supervisor for their restaurants on the campus of Mutual of Omaha in Omaha, Neb.
Robert was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ardelia Jones of Big Spring; two daughters, Melloney Sheppard and Jacqueline Williams, both of Big Spring; three sons, Robert Jones Jr. of Omaha, Neb., Sean Clark and wife Veronica and Chass Clark and wife Veronica, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Harold Jones and wife Yvonne of Yankton, S.D., and Gregory Jones and wife Patricia of Fort Worth; three sisters, Alice Emerson and Minnie Newbill, both of Midland, and Sandra Roper of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Katie (Orams) Jones; and three brothers.
