Robert Kilpatrick, 68, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at his residence. His body will be in state at Myers & Smith Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. No formal services will be held.
He was born April 3, 1945, in Stamford, Texas, to Doris and Charles Kilpatrick. He married Carol Conner on May 19, 1998, in Odessa, Texas. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation most of his life in Abilene, Texas, and Big Spring. More than 30 years ago, he moved from Abilene to Big Spring. He was a member of the Howard County Master Gardeners.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Kilpatrick of Big Spring; step-son, Kevin Conner of Big Spring; one brother, Doug Kilpatrick and his wife Karen of Missouri; and several cousins.
