Robert L. Crain

Robert L. Crain, 79, of Big Spring died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez State Veterans Home. Private memorial services will be at a later date.

He was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Buleadean, N.C. He grew up in Mars Hill, N.C. He retired from the Air Force after 24 years and was a Vietnam veteran. He lived in Big Spring for two years, coming from Del Rio. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Crain of Big Spring; two sons. Robert Crain Jr. of Paradise, Calif., and Russell Michael Crain of Big Spring; one brother, Ralph Crain of Mars Hill, N.C.; one sister, Ruby Shook of Mars Hill, N.C.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson.
