Roberta Stowe

Roberta Stowe, 91, of Stanton, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in a local nursing home.

She was born April 12, 1921, in Wichita, Kan,. and married Gene B. Stowe July 31, 1953. He preceded her in death April 26, 1996.

Roberta had worked as a telephone operator. She served in the United States Army during World War II from 1941 to 1944. She was a Southern Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Fitzpatrick and husband Joe of Stanton; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Edward Koessner of Arizona.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Q.T. Sanders and Eliza Pearl Hall; her sister, Ellene Koessner; and two granddaughters.
