Robinson cited for safety violations

October 6, 2011

Following a recent series of deadly accidents in and around the Crossroads area, U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited Big Spring-based Robinson Drilling LTD for nearly a dozen health and safety violations at a Lenorah work site.

The work site — located in Gaskin Field, Gaskins Well No. 1, reportedly at Rig No. 20 — was investigated by OSHA’s Lubbock District Office.

According to OSHA records, 11 health and safety violations — including what the agency described as seven “serious violations” and four “repeat violations — were discovered at the Lenorah site, located west of Big Spring.
