Ronald Dee Stacy, 71, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Stacy's family will receive friends and family Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Stacy will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, officiated by Chaplain Lynn Robertson. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Ronnie was born March 14, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas to Robert and Ila Mae Stacy. He grew up mostly in Odessa, Texas. He served in the United States Navy and worked in the oil fields and later as an industrial electrician. He retired from the Big Spring State Hospital in 2010.

Ronnie married Geneva Lee Frie Oct. 31, 1982, in Carlsbad, N.M. and made their home in Odessa, Texas, eventually moving to Big Spring in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva; one brother, Bobby Stacy; three daughters, Angi Stacy Scheffers of Iowa, and Jenifer Roberts and Jolene McNutt, both of Big Spring; and two sons, Dwayne Stacy of Carlsbad, N.M. and Roy Dale McNutt of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Ronnie was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert and Ila Mae Stacy; a younger brother, Kenneth Stacy; and an uncle.
