Ronald Louis Jones, 57, of Big Spring died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Private family viewing will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. No other services have been planned.
He was born Jan. 20, 1955, to Mary and Johnny Jones in Seagraves, Texas. He had been a resident of Howard County for 30 years.
He married Sharon Tucker in November 2004 in Big Spring, Texas. He began farming with his father at a young age and had farmed for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jones of Big Spring; two step-children, Dawn Michelle Tucker of North Carolina and Christa Tucker of Fairview, Texas; four grandchildren; three sisters, Eula M. Brooks of Lamesa, Tina L. Cumby of Abilene and Dorothy Jean Johnson of Denton; one brother, Albert Lee Jones of Abilene; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Johnnie Mae Wilson, Bobbie Joe Jones and J.W. Jones.
