Ronnie Ray Hodges

Ronnie Ray Hodges, 59, of Big Spring, died Thursday, July 25, 2014, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Graveside services with military honors will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel. Dr. Doug Shelley of Eastside Baptist Church will be officiating.

He was born to Helen and Harland Hodges on Feb. 27, 1955, in Big Spring. He served in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1976. He spent most of his life in law enforcement, including serving as a deputy sheriff for Howard and Midland counties, as well as the Abernathy Police Department and serving as Chief of Police in Seagraves.

He is survived by three daughters, Rachel Hodges, Karen Hodges and Sarah Hodges, all of Big Spring; wife Lisa Lynn Hodges; half-brother, Jimmy Hodges and wife Kim of Midland; and two half-sisters: Becky Vance and husband Jerry of Lubbock and Connie Faraldo and husband Lou of Houston.
